Michael J. Knight has published fiction in The Paris Review, The New Yorker, Esquire, GQ, Playboy and Virginia Quarterly Review, among other places. His first two books Dogfight & Other Stories (Plume), a collection of short fiction, and Divining Rod (Dutton), a novel, were both published in 1998. 

He currently teaches writing at the University of Tennessee.
