The Knoxville Writers’ Guild is very pleased to introduce Lauren Hulse, our new publicist and web content coordinator. Chosen from a field of excellent candidates, she will take over the job after a brief period of training.
Lauren replaces Tyler Lewelling, who has served ably but is leaving KWG for new jobs and further degree work.
Lauren brings skills in writing, the visual arts and the workings of nonprofits. As Membership and Communications Coordinator at Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, she communicates the work and events of that vibrant church to its members and to Knoxville. Her duties include branding and design, media relations, writing news releases, editing a bi-weekly newsletter and social media, among other tasks.
Lauren is author of a blog called the Single Mama Chronicles . She also helps to organize a local based Anti-Racism Training Collective.
A Knoxville native, Lauren attended the University of Tennessee, where she received her Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing.
“I have a vested interest in seeing the Knoxville Writers' Guild grow and flourish. As a writer, I understand in a personal and immediate way the need for a strong community of writers,” Lauren said. You can reach Lauren at firstname.lastname@example.org.
