Kelly Dowe Norrell is a freelance writer, editor, public relations specialist and photographer in Knoxville, TN. She is communications director for The Episcopal School of Knoxville, an independent, K-8 school of nearly 300 students. Her work includes:

Among these: 48% enrollment growth at The Episcopal School of Knoxville, bringing in more than $1 million in tuition, where she is Communications Director; a record level of participation in the Knoxville Writers' Guild Summer Workshops when she was promoter in 2006, 2007 and 2008; about $50,000 raised for the Grace School in Limuru, Kenya using a video script and newspaper articles which she wrote.
Norrell earned a bachelor's degree in American Studies from the University of Alabama. As winner of one of the first Rotary International Study Awards for Journalists, she also studied economics and politics of the Middle East at Durham University in the U.K. for one year. As a newspaper reporter, she won AP awards for feature writing and women's page reporting. She has studied graphic and web design in the Communications Graphics Technology program at Pellissippi State Technical Community College.
She was born and raised in Montgomery, AL.
