| Novel Writers' Review Group
Mission Statement : Whereas, the Knoxville Writers' Guild (KWG) was founded to encourage and promote writers in all genres, and special emphasis on encouraging the talents of East Tennessee writers is of primary importance, be it resolved, that the "Novel Writers' Review Group" (NWRG) Mission is to assist, encourage, and promote novel writing, and improve writing quality of its membership through an exchange of reviews and critiques on submitted manuscripts. Group membership is limited to paid members of KWG. NWRG members are expected to take an active role in manuscript evaluation. Critical reviews are important, and all critiques and comments are to be provided in a friendly and positive manner. There is no requirement to submit material for review, or to have completed or be working on a novel. Though the NWRG focuses on novel writing, and novel reviews take priority, it may also accept short stories or essays for review when members so wish and review time is available. Discussions and presentations on publishing, promotion, and various writing/editing topics are welcome. Meeting time and place are at the discretion of the membership. All submitted manuscript materials or copies are to be returned to the author, with or without comments, and not kept by any reviewer unless approved by the author. |
