PROMPT WRITING GROUP GUIDELINES

Mission statement
,To provide an environment in which a small community can experiment with writing to prompts in a group setting. Participants can also read/share their work if desired. This group is open to all active KWG members, but we are limited to eight active members. .

Guidelines
1. The group meets the second Wednesday of every month at Bearden Panera (across from Kroger’s) 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

2. All participants are welcome to bring prompts. Prompts to be used will be decided upon by informal discussion.
We will read a prompt, write for 10-15 minutes, then share our work if desired. We will repeat this cycle throughout the two hour meeting time.

3. It is understood that we are sharing rough drafts and will not offer detailed critiques.

4. Due to the format and structure of the meetings, and seating arrangements at Panera, we’d like to limit the size of the group to eight members. If interest exceeds this, we can explore starting a second prompts group.
