Dr. Scott SavageScott Savage

Dr. Scott Savage is the National Instructor in Emergency Medicine for the National Procedures Institute. He has written over 40 professional articles and given over 100 lectures nationally and internationally to both professional and lay audiences. While writing a lecture, he discovered that although words transmit the content of an idea, rhythm delivers its impact. Exploring this, he spent 11 years studying linguistics and prosody, developing Voxveritas, a method of musically scoring the rhythm and resonance of words.

In addition to being a medical author, physician, and professional speaker, Dr. Savage is on the Board of Directors of the Knoxville Writers’ Guild and a member of the Guild’s Poetry Workshop. His poetry has appeared in the online version of Poet & Writers. Of poetry, he says: “Rhythm is language of life, and the life of language.”
