Pre-Pulitzer Writers

Mission Statement:
Our fiction critique group, the Pre-Pulitzers, has an opening for serious writers. Our
group reads mainly fiction, but we also read plays, poems, and songs. Please send a
resume and 10-page writing sample to  jnetb@mac.com  with Pre-Pulitzer in the subject
line.

The pre-Pulitzers writing group accepts both fiction and nonfiction writers. Meeting once a
month, we critique up to 22 double-spaced pages of each member’s work, supplying clear,
supportive feedback while remaining honest about the submission’s value. Each participant
must prepare their critiques beforehand and attend in person in order to have their own work
evaluated. A group of committed writers, the pre-Pulitzers do have a selection process. We
currently meet in Bearden.
